IFLA’s Management of Library Associations Section (MLAS) in collaboration with the New Professionals Special Interest Group (NPSIG), the Women, Information and Libraries (WILSIG), and IFLA Regional Divisions is proud to announce a new webinar series: Building Strong Library Associations.
The mission of the Management of Library Associations Section (MLAS) is to build and support strong, well-managed library associations. The Section on Management of Library Associations (MLAS) includes dynamic leaders from library associations who seek to advocate for the interests, aspirations and concerns of the library associations represented among IFLA members.
This year MLAS is presenting webinars under the theme Building Strong Library Associations and its priority areas: information integrity, library advocacy, membership retention, financial sustainability, and strategic planning. Each webinar will feature different priority areas according to the needs of library associations in each region of the world. The webinars format includes interactive opportunities to engage attendees in conversations in languages spoken in the regions. This new webinar series by MLAS and its collaborators is for all library associations across regions of the world.
MLAS webinar series will be presented between November 2024 and July 2025. The webinars will be recorded. Stay tuned for more news. Follow MLAS on Facebook and Twitter
