IFLA will take part in a policy debated organised by the Anna Lindh Foundation on the topic, Inclusive Libraries: Fostering Intercultural Dialogue and Social Cohesion in the Euro-Med region.

This policy debate recognises the role of libraries in enabling open exchange of culture, knowledge, and ideas. It seeks to develop strategies to enhance access and inclusivity in libraries within the Euro-Mediterranean region.

The debate is organised by the Anna Lindh Foundation in collaboration with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the European External Action Service of the European Union, with the support of the Directorate General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission.

IFLA Policy and Advocacy Manager Claire McGuire will participate in an exchange on the topic, libraries and cross-border communication and the potential for fostering cooperation in the Euro-Med region, drawing on IFLA’s international perspective.

IFLA thanks the Anna Lindh Foundation for the invitation and facilitating our participation.
