A recording of the IFLA Open Science & Scholarship Advisory Committee’s recent webinar on open science initiatives in China and Indonesia is now available from IFLA’s YouTube channel.

During this webinar, initiatives from the Asia-Oceania region in China and Indonesia were presented. These include initiatives that promote international collaboration, research data sharing, and open access publishing. The webinar featured two excellent presentations:

  • China: Professor Dr Jinxia Huang, Open Science Research Center, National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences
  • Indonesia: Madiareni Sulaiman, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN Indonesia) and PhD Student University College London, Indonesia/United Kingdom

The webinar was hosted by Fiona Bradley, Chair of IFLA Open Science and Scholarship Advisory Committee, Director Research & Infrastructure UNSW Sydney Library, Australia

The webinar is presented by IFLA Advisory Committee on Open Science and Scholarship. The Advisory Committee supports collaboration at the global level, including engaging with other international organisations, and sharing information about different open science and open access initiatives. The committee is focused on equity, and the role of libraries in providing infrastructure and skills.
