IFLA News Media Section – IIPC Workshop: ARCHIVING A/V NEWS MEDIA CONTENT
On May 15th, join the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) News Media Section and the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) as they collaborate to present a series of free virtual workshops about web archiving and born digital news preservation. In this edition of our workshop, we will focus on archiving audiovisual content related to news.
- Professor Luisa Ordoñez (): Looking for the Present when it’s already in the Past: will discuss digital workflows, metadata management in archiving news from Colombia
- Heather Linville (Library of Congress National Audio-Visual Conservation Center) & Rachel Curtis (American Archive of Public Broadcasting): Preserving Public Media at the Library of Congress will provide an overview of the American Archive of Public Broadcasting (AAPB), a collaborative project to preserve and make accessible the rich history of America’s public media programming.
