Join us on Wednesday 25 February at 9 AM/9:00 EST to learn how library leaders around the
world are building social connections.
The session includes two-minute lightning presentations from public library leaders, including
from Aarhus (DK), Toronto (CAN), Guangzhou (CN), Helsinki (FIN), Bogotá (COL), Edmonton
(CAN), Cologne (DE), Milan (IT), and Kansas City (USA). Each speaker will share a challenge,
what they have learned and a question for you to help them. After the presentations, we will split
into thematic discussion groups to support our colleagues with ideas.
The session is organized by the MetLib Learning Circle, a global talent development program
for library leaders by IFLA’s Metropolitan Libraries Section. Each year, 20 library leaders are
invited to a 12-month program where they meet monthly to learn about library innovations and
support each other in moving their projects forward. During the session, you will hear more
about the program and how to apply to be part of its fourth cohort.
This session is facilitated by Tommi Laitio and Marie Østergaard and designed for library
professionals. Registration is required.
