We see libraries as spaces of commoning, where knowledge is shared and made freely accessible. What role does sustainability play here? The program ‘Common Waste – Common Libraries’ from the Goethe-Institutes in Southeast Europe shows in which directions we can think about green libraries. The format aimed to network young initiators from different countries and different backgrounds with each other and to expand knowledge about sustainability in libraries. What can we learn from the project? And what were the biggest challenges?
