About the presenters
Hannes Lowagie is the Head of the Agency for Bibliographic Information at the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR). He oversees cataloguing processes and ensures metadata quality. His current focus is on integrating AI into cataloguing workflows and applying RDA and international cataloguing standards. He holds a PhD in History.
Maud Henry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science and is a Metadata Librarian at the Agency for Bibliographic Information at the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR). In her role, Maud specializes in standardizing cataloguing practices, aligning internal processes with international standards, and improving the Belgian Bibliography. She contributes to the transition to RDA and revises indexing policies to enhance data accessibility and accuracy. As Secretary of the IFLA Bibliography Section and Co-Chair of the Working Group revising the IFLA Professional Statement on Universal Bibliographic Control, Maud contributes to global bibliographic control discussions, advancing metadata practices internationally.
Elodie Wälti is the Manager and Editor of the Bibliography of Swiss History. She is also the president of the Swiss Network for Bibliographies.
Christian Aliverti is a member of the Managing Board of the Swiss National Library and Head of the Section of Bibliographic Access of the Swiss National Library. He is a member of the IFLA Cataloguing Section and the RDA Board.
Patricia O’Loughlin is Director of Library Services and member of the company Management at Casalini Libri. She oversees business planning and development, supervises the production of multilingual bibliographic information and the coordination of the cataloguing and book selection team. Patricia is also coordinator of the sales team and participates in all major international events and conferences in the library and publishing sectors. She is member of the PCC Advisory Committee for Library Systems and Vendors.
Jeremy Goh is a Metadata Services Librarian at the National Library Board of Singapore (NLB), currently working on metadata management. He is part of a team that aims to efficiently review, enhance and reconcile bibliographic and authority metadata across libraries, to improve resource discovery among users and prepare the foundation towards a linked data future.
Ashwin Nair is a Research Engineer at the National Library Board of Singapore (NLB). He leads the development of AI-driven solutions for library workflows in the Resource Discovery Department. With over three years of experience in natural language processing (NLP) and knowledge graphs, he has engineered systems for automated metadata generation, large-scale record matching, and named entity linking. His recent work applies machine learning to bibliographic data matching and entity extraction at scale. He has presented at the International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications in 2024 and will be publishing his work in the Information Technology and Libraries journal.
