World Social Summit 2025
Governments and United Nations agencies from around the world will meet in Doha, Qatar, on 4-6 November in order to reflect on progress towards achieving social development goals.
The Summit comes 30 years after the Copenhagen Summit, which established ten commitments which together provide a basis for addressing challenges around poverty, inequality and discrimination.
Participants will look at how far we have come against these commitments, how more recent developments affect them, and what more can be done to make a reality of social development.
IFLA will be present, with delegates from across the MENA region in particular sharing practical examples of how libraries, knowledge and information are drivers of change, seeking to build and extend partnerships and realise fully our potential.
