IFLA Namespaces
IFLA Namespaces is designed to promote IFLA Standards using linked data. This dedicated website allows for linked data access to element sets and value vocabularies from several IFLA metadata standards, including:
An overview of the IFLA Namespaces was presented during WLIC 2022 in Dublin, Ireland, by Joseph Hafner (chair), LIDATEC update on Namespaces.
The Namespaces were presented in a lightning talk during the webinar New horizons: emerging metadata standards and practices in the 21st century held 27 May 2021.
Guidelines
METATEC maintains these guidelines relating to the IFLA Namespaces:
- Guidelines for maintaining and documenting IFLA vocabularies (October 2023)
- Guidelines for translations of the IFLA ISBD namespace in RDF (April 2017) (in collaboration with the ISBD Review Group)
- Guidelines for translations of IFLA namespaces in RDF, version 2.0 (August 2013) (prepared by the IFLA Namespaces Technical Group, forerunner to LIDATEC and METATEC)
