MLAS Chair, Loida Garcia-Febo, has supported the group including initiating this webinar and collaborating together with the Croatian Library Association (CLA) President and leadership team and Dr. Machala to present an initial online event last November 2024 during the CLA Annual Conference.

(2) IFLA Women, Information and Libraries Special Interest Group: opportunities to collaborate

Join us to learn more about how to collaborate on projects developed by the IFLA Women, Information and Libraries Special Interest Group (WILSIG) which is sponsored by IFLA MLAS. Active for almost 20 years, the SIG will share results of their activities and will highlight the importance of the role of women as librarians and users of library services. Currently the WILSIG is working on exciting projects in collaboration with various IFLA Sections. These include a WILSIG Newsletter featuring essays from librarians in different regions of the world and Bibliographies on Children’s books on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality. Current and past convenors will share insightful Perspectives of IFLA Work related to women and libraries.
