Call for candidates: Join the IFLA Bibliography Section!
10 November 2025
Are you interested in joining the Bibliography Section and becoming part of its standing committee?
The IFLA Bibliography Section is inviting applications to join its Standing Committee for the 2025–2029 term through the IFLA co-option process.
The Bibliography Section focuses on all matters concerning National Bibliographies, National Bibliographic Agencies and Universal Bibliographic Control (UBC). Its remit is broad — ranging from building national bibliographies, managing bibliographic and authority data in bibliographies and catalogues, and overseeing the work of national bibliographic agencies, to addressing issues of legal deposit, copyright, and broader bibliographic matters.
The Section maintains the Common Practices for National Bibliographies in the Digital Age and the National Bibliographic Register, and contributes to key IFLA policy statements, including the IFLA Professional Statement on Universal Bibliographic Control (UBC) (more information about the statement here).
