This year, LIS Education in Developing Countries joins Division V and IFLA Management of Library Associations Section (MLAS) for a satellite meeting in Alexandria, Egypt from 20-12 August 2019.
The Statistics and Evaluation Section of IFLA is hosting a two day Satellite event August 22-23 at the University of Piraeus, Greece: “More Than Numbers: Implementing New Assessment Methods for Libraries”
The IFLA School Libraries Section in collaboration with the Statistics and Evaluation Section invite interested professionals to submit proposals for the open session to be held in Athens, Greece, from 24–30 August 2019.
Barbara Lison is elected to serve as President-elect for the term 2019-2021 and to serve as President for the term 2021-2023.
IFLA Headquarters dispatched ballot papers and supporting documents for its Governing Board Elections 2019-2021 to all Voting Members on 22 February 2019. We are encouraged to see the number of viable candidates standing for elections increase with each election cycle and this year we have almost double that of the previous cycle.
