The Local History and Genealogy Section and Library Services to Multicultural Populations Section of IFLA is accepting submissions for the satellite meeting at National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana, Kazakhstan, on 15 August 2025.
The event will delve into the 2024 updated IFLA Trend Report, a document that highlights essential topics concerning AI and the prospective roles of libraries and librarians. The M&M Standing Committee (SC) is placing a spotlight on these pivotal themes, offering three compelling presentations by esteemed professionals.
In the February 2025 IFLA newsletter, we answer the question “what is IFLA?” by taking a curated deep dive into our most recent activities, updates, and initiatives, as well highlighting the importance of promoting engagement.
As we look towards our 100th, we’ve started a process to change how anyone with an internet connection can engage with our past in new ways. Looking back helps to position ourselves for possible futures and for this we’ve made some tools and resources visible, and even audible. Dig in!
