IFLA survey on preservation standards, guidelines, and best practices
5 February 2018To identify and develop standards, guidelines and best practices for the collection and preservation of content in its diverse form (as stated in the IFLA Key Initiative 3.2.1), it was decided to conduct an extensive survey in the library sector to establish currently used standards, guidelines and best practices for material in any format.

2 February 2018Faced with growing concerns over fake news, the European Union launched a consultation on fake news, and how to fight it in November 2017. IFLA has responded, underlining that the only sustainable response is a literate, critical population. Libraries are essential in delivering this, and should be supported to do so.
