This year in particular, WIPO explores how innovation and progress make lives better, and what more can be done to make sure new technologies reach the people who need them. They are also inviting ideas on the priorities for future innovation through Twitter under the hashtag #WorldIPDay.

Government Libraries Section - Berlin Satellite Meeting 2017
15 April 2017The Government Libraries Section is pleased to invite government librarians and information professionals to its satellite meeting in Berlin on 25-26 August, following the 2017 WLIC in Wroclaw. Graciously hosted by the Bundestag Library, the morning theme of the workshop on Friday 25 August will be the revision of Guidelines for Libraries of Government Departments focussing on Chapter 11 Advocacy, and how these can tie in with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
