16 July 2024The Culture2030Goal Campaign has released its draft analysis of the place of culture in 2024 Voluntary National Reviews of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The analysis highlights that all countries are already reflecting on culture, with some taking a very comprehensive approach. However, an explicit goal could make the difference in generalising this good practice.

We’ve enjoyed managing this program and building relationships with our awardees over the years. Though there will be no WLIC in 2024, ARL wants to continue to enable young professionals to attend IFLA events, and SAGE continues to support that work, so we are sponsoring attendance at two different programs this year.

25 June 2024A new creative intervention produced by Tactical Tech and DensityDesign Lab at Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), will address how AI is impacting the ways that media and information is produced, distributed and perceived. The exhibition, designed to be hosted in libraries throughout Europe, will present visitors with engaging resources that will make these issues tangible and visual. It will also provide practical tips for what to do when we are confronted with these issues in our online lives.
