A dynamic Professional Unit has the greatest impact on IFLA’s global work – engaging members, developing strong leadership and identity, delivering high-quality services with a measurable impact, and communicating activities within IFLA and beyond. The Professional Committee launched the Dynamic Unit and Impact Awards (DUIAs) to recognise the Professional Units who have excelled in putting Dynamic Unit goals into practice. 4 DUIA were awarded this year: Quality and Impact of the Work; Effective Communication; Membership Engagement and Leadership Development; Overall Achievement.

Along with some great impressions from the cultural evening at the Rotterdam Zoo, poster sessions, and videos featuring delegates, our Day Two recap of IFLA WLIC 2023 focuses on some of the incredible work our many professional units and committees are presenting during WLIC week.
Day one of IFLA WLIC 2023 welcomed over 3000 delegates from over 100 countries to Rotterdam, The Netherlands, setting an enthusiastic tone for the days ahead at the Opening Session. Here are some highlights from the first days!

At the end of IFLA’s Closing Ceremony, our current Governing Board will end its term, and a new one take up its mandate. The outgoing Board met for the last time, on 19 August, at the Ahoy Convention Centre in Rotterdam.
The volume will be published on behalf of IFLA’s Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Section (ENSULIB) by de Gruyter/Saur Publisher, Berlin/Boston, in print and digital online format with open access, provided to be published in the IFLA Publications Series.
The Genre/Form Working Group of the IFLA Subject Analysis and Access Section is pleased to announce the posting of “Bibliographic References and Vocabularies Related to Genre/Form.”
