IFLA Brought the Voice of Libraries to the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2022

    IFLA’s core message at MONDIACULT 2022 was a call to policymakers, including ministers of culture from around the world, to look to library associations and institutions as partners in realising the potential of culture to leave no one behind. We stressed that, through its transversal impact across the development agenda, culture is critical for achieving sustainable development goals.

      Sesión Abierta de la División América Latina y el Caribe (IFLA LAC RDC) durante el WLIC 2022, Dublín, Irlanda, el 26 de julio de 2022. La sesión tuvo por título “Bibliotecas y desigualdad. El papel de la cooperación regional en la construcción de sociedades justas y sostenibles” el cual coadyuva con que la pandemia Covid-19 ha puesto en evidencia el desarrollo e implementación de múltiples acciones teóricas y empíricas de carácter informativo en las que el cambio de paradigma para ampliar, compartir e intercambiar información es un tema de atención global.

We rely increasingly on the internet to achieve our mission of providing maximum meaningful access to information, while in turn being key players in ensuring that the internet itself is inclusive. We interviewed Nina Nakaora (Fiji), who participated in this year's Asia Pacific School of Internet Governance (APSIG), ahead of the Asia-Pacific regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF).
