Design-thinking workshop by the IFLA Sub-Saharan African Regional Division Committee, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

    Τhe IFLA Sub-Saharan African Regional Division Committee organised a design-thinking training in Addis Ababa, as a pre-conference workshop in the context of the 4th African Youth Sustainable Development Goals Summit, taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The workshop addressed emerging library, information and knowledge management professionals and was focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Voluntary National Review (VNR) Process.

      The IFLA Journal Special Issue on COVID-19 explores how the pandemic brought about innovation in libraries. Guest edited by IFLA Journal editorial board member Milena Dobreva from Sofia University, Bulgaria and Hermina Anghelescu from Wayne State University, USA, the journal includes 18 articles that range from original research to case studies and review articles.

      Call for Papers: 2022 IFLA WLIC Open Session by News Media Section

        The IFLA News Media Section seeks proposals for papers to be presented in person at their Open Session at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2022 in Dublin, Ireland. This session aims to provide insights into different projects dealing with news media and to encourage exchange on how individuals or institutions can use news content in the context of education and research.

        IFLA response to the situation in Ukraine
