In times of hardship, individuals turn to one another to overcome, to recover, and to rebuild. The places where communities meet, where they can access services, and come together to support one another are therefore important for building community resilience.
The Governing Board has set the date for the IFLA General Assembly 2022: It will take place on 25 August and will be organised in a hybrid format so that as many Members as possible can attend. The time of day has yet to be determined.
The IFLA Cataloguing section is seeking proposals for papers to be discussed at its Open Session at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2022 in Dublin, Ireland.
In the week of World Intellectual Property Day 2022, IFLA has released the Executive Summary of its research report "How well did copyright laws serve libraries during COVID-19?".

IFLA participated actively in the Regional Forum for Sustainable Development for Europe, which included a strong emphasis on promoting resilience and ensuring a strong and inclusive future. Maia Simonishvili, member of the Europe Regional Division Committee, participated, using the opportunity to place libraries on the agenda, gather insights, and build connections.
