Stronger, Bolder, Together: From Ideas to Inspiration to Action
09 September 2025
Register now for the final set of webinars in the Stronger, Bolder, Together series run by IFLA’s Presidents for 2023-25, Vicki McDonald and 2025-27, Leslie Weir!
A turbulent world needs its libraries to be strong, staying faithful to long-held values and principles while also having the confidence and skill to adapt and innovate in how we pursue them.
A combination of resilience and radical hope is at the heart of the themes chosen by IFLA’s Presidents for 2023-25 and 2025-27 – Stronger Together (Vicki McDonald) and Be Bold (Leslie Weir).
Of course, these are easy words to say, but what does it mean in reality for the library field to be stronger, bolder, together?
This question has been at the heart of the two launchpad webinars in July, and then in the President’s and President-elect’s sessions at the World Library and Information Congress in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Led by Vicki and Leslie, these sessions have drawn on the insights of library thinkers from around the world, through video contributions, live participation, and of course audience engagement!
Now, building on the work already done, a final set of sessions will take place on 30 September and 1 October, around IFLA’s 98th birthday. These will identify key areas of focus that we can take forward under the presidency of Leslie Weir, and in continuation of that of Vicki McDonald.
So join us then at one or both of these webinars to hear more from our thinkers, to share your ideas, and look ahead as IFLA100 comes into view.
