IFLA’s Review Groups maintain, support and develop work on IFLA’s technical standards, bibliographic models, linked data and formats such as UNIMARC.
Members appointed in IFLA Elections 2025 will serve alongside continuing Review Group Members.

BCM Review Group Committee

The Bibliographic Conceptual Models Review Group (BCM RG) provides ongoing support for the maintenance and development of the IFLA bibliographic conceptual models. The BCM Review Group reports to the IFLA Committee on Standards.

International Standard Bibliographic Description (ISBD) Committee
To serve August 2025-August 2029
The IFLA ISBD Review Group oversees the production, management and promotion of IFLA’s International Standard Bibliographic description and provides a central coordinating body to which any IFLA ISBD-related issues can be directed. The ISBD RG reports to the IFLA Advisory Committee on Standards and is linked with the IFLA Cataloguing Section.

Metadata Technical Standards Review Group (METATEC) Committee
To serve August 2025-August 2029
The IFLA Metadata Technical Standards Review Group coordinates and supports the publishing of IFLA Metadata Standards, including the instructions, examples and linked data aspects, in the IFLA Namespaces, and supports the activities of other IFLA Review Groups by publishing the metadata standards, providing the technical support infrastructure, producing documentation and guidance, providing training and other support as needed.

Universal MARC format (UNIMARC) Committee
To serve August 2025-August 2029
The purpose of the Universal MARC format (UNIMARC) Committee is to coordinate activities aimed at the development, maintenance and promotion of the UNIMARC format, now a set of four formats – Bibliographic, Authorities, Classification, and Holdings – and related documentation. The UNIMARC Committee reports to the IFLA Committee on Standards.

Mi-Voice has acted as the Returning Officer for the election process, which was conducted in accordance with the IFLA Statutes and Rules of Procedure. Mi-Voice is satisfied that all eligible Members, Personal Affiliates and Volunteers received voting instructions and information, and that if they voted, their vote was recorded accurately.
