The IFLA Public Libraries Section, together with the IFLA Information Technology Section and the IFLA Artificial Intelligence Special Interest Group, will convene a satellite meeting in Seoul on 14 August 2026:

The satellite will explore real-world implementations — how libraries are already using AI tools to improve services, engage readers, support staff, and enhance community outcomes. The keynote will be delivered by Steve Potash, CEO of OverDrive, exploring AI-powered reader’s advisory within the Libby app.
Possible topics include:
• AI-powered reader’s advisory and literature promotion
• Virtual librarians or chatbots
