Maximizing opportunities to achieve digital futures in Africa - IFLA at AfIGF

Libraries were present at the 13th Africa Internet Governance Forum held in Addis- Ababa from 20th to 22nd November 2024. The forum was organised by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Africa Union. This prestigious event falls under the framework of the Global Internet Governance Forum, serving as a regional platform for inclusive dialogue on Internet governance and digital public policy.

IFLA’s Trend Report and Art Libraries

The potential for art to enrich our lives is well understood, both in how we interact with visual cultures around us, and in the development of our own creativity. It can connect us through shared experiences and dialogue; challenge us in offering new perspectives on well-entrenched stories and beliefs; and it can bring us together to imagine a shared future. Art libraries play an important role in the potential of art to do all these things, serving as catalysts for creativity and connection.

Now available: Information Literacy Section Newsletter - Winter Issue 2024

The Information Literacy Section Newsletter is published twice a year. This Winter Issue 2024 includes a total of six articles, with contributors from around the world, including the USA, Switzerland, Vietnam, Malaysia and Norway.
