Promotional image for the IFLA 100th Anniversary Logo Competition with colorful paint splashes and prize details.

In 2027, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) will celebrate its 100th anniversary. To mark this milestone, IFLA is launching a public logo competition to create a commemorative logo that will be used throughout the IFLA100 campaign.

We invite members of the global library community — both individuals and organisations — to submit original designs that reflect IFLA’s mission, values, and a century of international cooperation in the library and information field.

About the competition

The winning logo will become the official visual identity of the IFLA100 campaign, appearing on campaign materials and select communication channels from August 2026 to December 2027. The competition will open on 30 January 2026 and close on 31 March 2026. A special panel appointed by IFLA will evaluate submissions, and the winner will be announced at IFLA WLIC 2026, with an official presentation during the Congress in Busan, South Korea.

Who can participate

The competition is open to individuals and organisations worldwide. IFLA Members, volunteers and the general public are welcome to participate. Participants may submit entries as individuals or as representatives of their institution. Please note that employees of IFLA Headquarters, IFLA consultants, members of the IFLA Governing Board, and members of the judging panel are not eligible to participate. Each participant may submit up to two entries.

Submission requirements

  • Designs must be original and created entirely by the participant
  • Submissions created entirely or significantly with AI tools are not permitted

  • Entries must not contain discriminatory or offensive elements
  • Files must be submitted in .ai, .svg, or .eps format
